A beautiful and extraordinary Japanese pattern printed on a kitchen splashback. The pattern on the main glass located in the recess above the stove has been entirely transferred from a small embroidered carpet which is a family heirloom. A signature of the owner is printed beneath it. The sleek surface of the glass along the worktop has been covered by canvas pattern. The pattern was created by combining samples of fibres taken from the original Japanese carpet. The whole pattern has been digitally printed on the Optiwhite crystal clear glass with high transmission. The glass panels have been toughened and edges polished to achieve the smooth and sleek area.
